Hello! My name is Taylor, and I am a temporary licensed mental health counselor at Hope Family Counseling. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand View University, and I truly enjoy working with children, individuals, and families as they navigate life’s ups and downs together.
I work with children of all ages, adolescents, and adults, and I have a special interest in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, panic attacks, and ADHD, as well as families going through separation or divorce. When working with children, I often use play and art therapy techniques to help them express themselves in ways that feel natural and safe. I also value involving caregivers in the process whenever possible, as I believe healing is strongest when families feel supported as a team.
My goal is to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where everyone feels heard and understood. I tailor therapy to each person and family’s unique needs, using approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Gestalt Therapy. I believe therapy works best as a collaborative process, and I look forward to partnering with you and your family as you work toward growth, connection, and lasting positive change.
